Common questions
answered

At the heart of our commitment to providing
exceptional tourist visa solutions stands our trusted

  • How long is my tourist visa valid?

Every tourist visa has two different periods of validity: "validity before admission" and "validity after entry." For all visa categories, the validity period prior to arrival is 60 days from the date of issuance. This indicates that the tourist gets 60 days starting from the date of the visa issuance to enter the UAE before the visa expires. The number of days the visitor may stay in the UAE after entering is determined by the validity after arrival, which is 14 days for a 14-day visa, 30 days for a 30-day visa, and 60 days for a 60-day visa. Day 1 is the day of entry for the traveler.

  • Is the UAE tourist visa valid for entry into all the 7 Emirates of UAE?

Yes, the UAE Tourist Visa allows you to enter from any of the Emirates and will be valid in all the 7 Emirates: Abu Dhabi | Ajman | Dubai | Fujairah | Ras Al Khaimah | Sharjah | Umm Al Quwain

  • Can I extend my tourist visa? Can I change my tourist visa to residence/employment visa?

The only visa that can be extended by an extra 14 days is the 14-day tourist visa (additional charges may apply). Other visa classifications cannot be extended. Without leaving the country, any tourist visa categories can be changed to residency or work. Transferring from one tourist visa to another, however, is not possible. The traveler must first depart the UAE and return on a fresh tourist visa to prolong their stay on a tourist visa.

  • What happens if I exceed the permitted stay duration?

Under no circumstances should you stay longer than is allowed. After two days of overstaying, our company policy is to report the visa holder as missing. Once we've reported you as having fled the country, you won't be allowed to leave without paying us a fee of AED 7,500 and getting all the appropriate approvals from our business. The Immigration Authorities will also reject your visa application the following time you apply for one.

  • What if my employment/residence visa is under process? Do I still need to leave the country if my tourist visa is expiring?

We strongly encourage you to leave the country until your employment visa is accepted and then return to the UAE on your employment visa if your employment visa is in the application process and your tourist visa is about to expire.

  • Can I work on a tourist visa?

Working while in a country on a tourist visa is prohibited. Do not begin working while on a tourist visa, although you may participate in the recruitment process and attend interviews. Before starting work, wait for your company to issue your employment visa. Some firms could request that you begin working while still on the tourist visa but doing so could put you in serious risk. The UAE often conducts labour inspections, and if you are caught working on a tourist visa, you might face up to AED 25,000 in fines and/or imprisonment. Upon completion of your jail term, you will also receive a life ban and be deported.
